Our Purpose
Objectives and Purposes
This Corporation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of
any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law of California for public and charitable
purposes. Its public and charitable purposes are: to advance the cause
of education and to establish a mutually beneficial relationship between El Segundo High School and its alumni; to render financial and other assistance to the students and graduates of El Segundo High School, and to participate in and encourage the promotion of benefits and to solicit contributions and gifts, and subject
to the discretion of the Board of Directors, whose discretion shall be absolute, administer such funds, gifts, and contribtuions
for the benefit and assistance of students and graduates of El Segundo High School.
Our Mission
To facilitate communications between El Segundo High School alumni; and to rekindle friendships developed
in high school, during the best of times.
* Note: Two changes made at the October 2008 regular meeting
by the Board of Directors: - Section B, Paragraph (b), in referentce to the Annual meeting, the words "last
quarter of each fiscal year" were changed to "week of the high school's homecoming."
- In Article V,
the maximum number of board members was changed from 11 to 15.
