Biography: After graduating in 1947, I attended UCLA, graduating in 1952 with a BS
in Engineering. I then went to work for Federated Metals, a Division of ASARCO. Our plant was in Vernon, CA. In 1966 I took
a job in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a Startup company, Batchelder Blasius. This company was in Seconday Aluminum Smelting.
Here I was in charge of the plant operations, and became president of the company, before we had to close in 1991. after this
I consulted and worked in Mexico, Suraname, Ohio and Illinois. I am now retired and head up the Class of '47, publishing a
newsletter and organizing reunions. I stay physically active in order to "stay young". I was married to Jean Potter
in LA in 1959. We have three daughters, and three grandchildren.
